Anyway, I was going to qualify regardless, so it ended up being a month or 2 earlier than when I would have qualified.
Then it’s a normal avenue if you’re spending 20k…

Trust me I’ve asked MHC, Hyatt Corporate even Hyatt’s Office of the Senior Vice President all the available avenues are posted (I Excluded spend via the Hyatt CC because it requires 130k spend as well as Targeted Fast Track as that’s not publicly available to everyone, other than those 2 and the ones posted above that’s it). The property may have tried to entice you to spend more with them or spend the 20k with them directly knowing you’d earn the status in the end as they have access to your profile, your progress towards status and so on.

Spending 20k in one stay at one property isn’t really an option for most people, and I definitely wouldn’t value Globalist as worth spending 20k to get. Compared to last year when most people got it for $1,000-$1,500 (or less with the Hyatt CC annual EQN).

Individual Properties can’t just grant Globalist status to a specific Guest that’s something done via Hyatt Corporate.
At least some properties do have discretion over granting Globalist status to important relationships / guests. Usually the sales managers at larger properties. They use it as a marketing / incentive tool.

Any link? The office of Amy Weinberg said (when I asked 6 months ago) nope, MHC said nope as well.

Any document from Hyatt showing this is an avenue to grant Globalist from an individual property while not meeting the actual Globalist thresholds? (Meaning spending less than 20k in this scenario).

This is 100% true. I have inside knowledge that a GM or Sales Director can grant whatever status they want in order to attract new business, whether it's an account or MICE.

I'm sure there is one. But like most things related to the inner workings of properties/WOH, it's most likely not something that's going to be made publicly available.

Okay so if someone goes to a property and says look I’ll spend 10k with you on this trip they’ll get Globalist? That seems literally laughable.

I choose 10k because it’s 50% of the required spend to hit Globalist.

That’s exactly what my interpretation of it was.

If you’re spending 20k+ you’re granted Globalist from Hyatt Corporate so you wouldn’t need to work out a deal with the property manager. Around 10-12k spend is the only amount that makes sense for what you’re saying.

So what exactly are you saying?

Try asking your corp travel if there's anything available via that. Corp fast tracks are generally more available.

Not to derail but which did you like better?
