they redirected me to playa, and playa honored it even though I book through hyatt.

I was just checking rates for the Hyatt House in Cypress, CA. For the end of September: the "rack rate" for stays 5-11 nights is $20.00 cheaper than AAA and is not Pre Paid so it is cancelable 24 hours ahead. Worth checking if it fits your schedule. Free parking, internet, and Free Breakfast with omelet bar. Close to the beach and theme parks.

Anyone has an idea about Hyatt promotion in Q4 2015? I do not have any forecasted stays during September but have at least 40 nights during October and November and all traveling locations have Hyatt presence and Hyatt has corporate rate.

My husband has been using them for a few months now and has purchased a few thousand dollars worth of various gift cards (toystores, resturants, etc.). Most have been e-gift cards. Every time it has worked beautifully.

The ending date of the promo counts for a night!
Since the information isn't easily findable here, I'll contribute a data point that for the promo that ended September 30th, the night of September 30th (checking out October 1st) counted as a night for the promo.
