I'd like to agree with you 100%, but I think Hyatt is very bad about publicizing sales and promos. FT is basically the only place I ever hear about 48hour sales, and I've missed the kick-off of more than one promo because Hyatt didn't notify me.

So I agree 50% - news will promptly appear on FT!

Any news about the upcoming 48 hour sale tonight? Is there a way to find out which properties will participate early?

How much do these sales tend to be vs. current rates? For example, I am considering a reservation at the Andaz Amsterdam vs the SPG Pulitzer. The Andaz is showing an Advance Purchase rate of EUR 280 vs. a standard rate of EUR 325 -- about a 14% discount.

If this property were to be included, what do people think the sale rate would be, based on past experience.

no more than 20% as a rule, and also non-cancellable.

Anyone else noticed that: Hyatt pulled night certificates for both Hyatt hotels in Cannes and Nice hotels, and also bunch of others in France, maybe also elsewhere no announcement, no warning ((

Sorry if someone posted this already (though I didn't see it in this thread).

Received the following email from Hyatt GP:

Beginning September 9, you can earn 5,000 Hyatt Gold Passport bonus points after your first five nights, and thousands more for every additional five nights. After 20 nights, that's 50,000 bonus points.
Registration is required but is not open until Sep. 9. More info here. Doesn't appear to be targeted.
