nice promo at the Hyatt Cancun.
Upon checkin we were handed a card which states that for every $100 credit (or 150, 200, up to 250) in upfront Food & Beverage we purchased, the Hyatt Cancun would double the credit. We were quite pleased with this promo, it goes until Nov 20, 2012.
The credit only applies to food & bev, tips can not be paid by the credit.

I shouldn't have bothered even looking. The discounted rate for one HP I saw was actually still HIGHER than the rack rate.
Hyatt's "discounts" rarely are. Want that $150 stay credit? Your rate will be a lot higher than $150 more to get it. Free breakfast? The rate without it is so much cheaper you could eat out anywhere and save.
You think we don't notice those things, Hyatt? It makes you look deceptive.

The current Hyatt promos with the 10% off are these. Note that while most don't appear to off much off other rates, however the "discount" rates come with breakfast (AAA rate) or $25 towards food (AARP and Costco rates).
