Looks like the terms and conditions are slightly different on dates. I've already received 2,500 point credit for a Dulles area HP stay this past weekend.

Member will receive 2,500 Hyatt Gold Passport bonus points per stay between September 1, 2009 and December 30, 2009, at Hyatt Place and Hyatt Summerfield Suites worldwide.

Received this too, but if one doesn't travel to or within the USA, it's of no value. But for those in the USA who do visit all those third tier cities and towns, rack up the status stays and now extra bonus points on cheap Hyatt Place stays, your Christmas has come!

Should be combinable with MC promotion as well as the Gx bonuses (for those participating property).

If you could find stays for less than $100 - I'd say well worth it since you'd earn at least 5,500 points per stay (2,500 MC - 2,500 from this promo - 500 (for $100 room) for room spend) + whatever Gx bonus may exist.

Peteropny: Thank you for your support!
Can do 89, 71, 89, 89 before the 15th.
1000 (G1)+5000+5000+5000+5000+1690=22,690 points for $338+tax

Looks like its worth it but I know nothing about redemption.

However, still a bit worried abut 4Q promo not coming in big and making it unnecessary to run for Diamond before year end. I can put my decision off one more day.

Cheers,

Scho

What to people consider the fair value of a GP Point?
Example: SPG is like 2.5-3.5 cents per point.
Did a quick search "value of point" but came up with nothing.
Thanks,

Scho

Make sure that you change properties each night since the promotion is stays and not nights (you are fine if you alternate between 2 properties - A B A B ). And if "all" properties have G1 - then its 4000 + 5000 + 5000 + 5000 + 5000 + 1690 = 25,690 points for $338 + tax.

If FFN was in effect, you'd probably earn 4000 + 1690 = 5690 points and 2 free nights for the $338 + tax. This is 20,000 points less, so you would have made out better by a little less than 1 free night (assuming redemption at top Category 5 property which is 18,000 pionts) with FFN.

GP points are valued at 1.5-2.0 cents per point. An extreme redemption example would be 27,000 points for one night in a suite at Park Hyatt Paris Vendome which would "cost" close to $2,000 a night (I did this last month). A more "typical" nice redemption would be Highlands Inn (Carmel) for 18,000 points for a room which would probably be $400 (did this too in May).

Stays concept same as SPG. No problems understanding. Thanks for the double check though.

Only 1 G1 night...bummer.

Gotta start somewhere though.

Cheers!

No email for me either. But guess I can always call the personal line agent who would register me without no question asked. It's HP time!

I have received this one as well.

Just to double check, there is no special registration required once you received the email, correct?
