Hyatt and MGM Resorts Announce New Loyalty Program Relationship
Greetings FlyerTalk members,
On behalf of all of us here at Hyatt, thank you for your participation in this frequent traveler community. As I’ve said before, your thoughtful feedback and ideas offered here truly help to guide Hyatt Gold Passport program innovations. Over time, many of you have shared your desires for a wider selection of locations for earning and burning your Hyatt Gold Passport points – with a particular interest in The Las Vegas Strip as a new destination.
Well, FlyerTalkers, you’re in luck! I’m excited to share some news with you: Hyatt and MGM Resorts International® have formed an unprecedented relationship that will offer substantial benefits to members of both loyalty programs, Hyatt Gold Passport and M life.
Beginning on June 20, 2013, Hyatt Gold Passport members will have the opportunity to earn and redeem Hyatt Gold Passport points at 12 iconic M life resorts on The Las Vegas Strip – from the MGM Grand® and Mandalay Bay® to the Mirage® and Bellagio®. All eligible nights and stays at these resorts will count toward Hyatt Gold Passport tier status. And, each of the 12 participating resorts will be available for reservations and award night bookings through hyatt.com and our Hyatt Worldwide Reservation Centers.
Plus, coming this August, Hyatt Gold Passport members can enjoy unique benefits – like pre-sale access to premier entertainment, exclusive M life Moments experiences and more – when opting in for a matched tier status in M life. That’s more options for tasty rewards than a Las Vegas buffet!
Stay tuned, as more information about this unique relationship will be available on June 20. For answers to frequently asked questions, visit hyatt.com/mlife.

Wow, this is great news. Marriott's partnership with the Cosmopolitan and IHG's with Venetian/Palazzo were pretty good... but this blows those away with the number of properties.... it's practically 1/3 to 1/2 of the Strip.

GREAT NEWS! ^ I have a lot of business stays in Las Vegas. Of course I would prefer a full service Hyatt Hotel in Las Vegas (hint hint) but this is good.

This is amazing news. I stay in Vegas a lot and always wanted to have it connect in with something outside of Vegas. Also I have been staying at Mlife hotels recently. This should seal the deal with me going Mlife in Vegas and Hyatt outside.
Any info on what hotel category's the various mlife hotels will be considered under Hyatt? Also, what level Hyatt Platnium would match to with Mlife?

Sweet, thanks for the link. Looks as if the other questions is answered.
Here’s what Hyatt Gold Passport members can expect:
Gold (without status) maps to M Life Sapphire (entry level).
Gold Passport Platinum maps to Gold (mid-tier of 5 levels)
Gold Passport Diamond status maps to M Life Platinum (second highest)
Gold Passport members aren’t given MGM’s Noir level which gets things like guaranteed restaurant reservations and ‘best seat in the house’. Still, there are upgrades and even very Vegas-y things like priority in the taxi queue.
M Life members will be recognized as well:
M Life Pearl and Sapphire levels map to Gold Passport Gold (non-elite).
Gold, Platinum, and Noir maps to Gold Passport Platinum

Just curious if we sill Bennies like breakfast and internet, lounge access?
I likr ehat I see do far as I enjoy MGM Grand.
I was about to move stays in LV to the Trop for Hilton, but was not liking the mixed reviews from DIA members.
This will most likely seal the deal for me.
