LGBT10 Promotion aimed at the GLBT community - through 12/30/10

I found an interesting package (Pride Welcome Package) that might work for those looking for a late checkout. Similar to the Awaken package, it includes breakfast for 2 and a later 4 p.m. checkout. Pricing seems to vary widely from one property to another, but in some cases I have found it to be even less expensive than the AAA rate, YMMV. Offer code is LGBT10.

TERMS & CONDITIONS: Package is open to everyone and is valid at participating hotels from 5/6/2010 to 12/30/2010. All hotel reservations are subject to availability and must be made in advance. Package is not valid with groups/conventions and may not be combined with other promotional offers. Package inclusions are breakfast for 2 daily, late check-out up to 4pm, a non-alcoholic welcome amenity and LGBT-relevant information, provided by the Concierge. Breakfast is valid each morning of guest's stay (not including day of arrival), in hotel restaurant. Package breakfast does not include brunch for holidays or special events, room service or alcoholic beverages. Rate shown is per room, per night and based on double occupancy. No refunds for any unused portion of package. Package does not include, tax, gratuity, resort fee or incidental charges.Promotional blackout periods may apply due to seasonal periods or special events, and normal arrival/departure restrictions apply. A limited number of rooms are allocated for this promotion. Hyatt reserves the right to alter or withdraw this program at any time without notice.

NOTE: This is for GH SF
I believe that many hotels offer this package -- it is found under the available offers page, as well.

I saw this promo checking rates at a few Hyatt properties recently, and I have to say I was rather pleasantly surprised to see Hyatt reaching out to the LGBT community in such a public fashion (I have seen LGBT promos at other Hotels in the past only posted on LGBT sites, rather than on the hotel's public website). It gave me a good feeling about a company that I have already become a dedicated fan of. ^^^

Hyatt is by far the most gay friendly hotel chain. The Entertainment section on most properties' web page has a list of gay bars near their hotels. Unlike Marriott, they also have gay porn...not that I have paid for it

Although I find Hyatt to be very LGBT friendly, I'm not sure I'd go that far. SPG has a very long history of outreach to the GLBT community; while not major chains, Kimpton and Joie de Vivre are both gay owned. And there is the unfortunate association with Doug Manchester in San Diego...

Good point about SPG, I was thinking Marriott, Priority Club, when I said that. I have never stayed in a Kimpton. Not sure I have even looked them up. Something to do today at work.
