Hyatt house (Summerfield) Houston / Energy Corridor REVIEW - MASTER THREAD
Also noticed a hotel review for this location was lacking.
We stayed here back in December as part of the last FFN run. The rate was in the $60s and there was a reason for the low price
Should have used it as just a mattress run location instead of actually staying here.
The security of the area seemed to be a real issue and the hotel is located in two buildings. The first building we were assigned (not the same as the check-in desk) had the window paneling loose/falling off on the front door where someone could reach in and open the door from the inside. Originally assigned a room next to the few other hotel guests. These were very loud and seemed to be having an argument. Some other "interesting people" wandering the hallways. Ended up going to the front desk and had to pull teeth to be moved to the main building.
The rooms themselves were pretty decent and looked as though some renovations had occurred. It would also be nice to have a full kitchen (refrig, dishwasher, sink, etc) for those staying here longer and wanting to cook. The drawers even had utensils, dishes, etc.
Breakfast was pretty standard continental type buffet that we're used to from other HP locations.
This was our first SS brand stay. Don't know whether we will stay at these hotels again or just use for mattress runs.
