I will definitely try that once I can find a property for which a spot shows up for entering the coupon -even on the last page!! Does this process eventually allow you to see a property list which includes all properties with final prices after application of the Orbitz coupon?

Hotel city search no longer identifies which hotels participate in Orbitz promos. There is no way to quickly identify whether there are enough participating hotels in your search area to make an Orbitz promo code truly useful.
I can now find an entry box labeled "I have a promotion code" - but only on the final payment page.
The GAYPRIDE10 coupon is stated to have expired.
All properties checked so far with the REVIEW5 code come back with no discount from the coupon and this message:

1. If I select any particular hotel for stay by 10/18/10 there is somewhere between a 0 and 100% chance that it is a participating property. (I'm assuming from this language that I won't get the future use coupons unless I win the lottery and successfully choose a participating property)
2. If, by blind chance, I am lucky enough to choose a participating property then I also have a chance to lose my eligibility for the $250 coupons for future stays by guessing incorrectly as to the minimum stay at property A. I'm guessing the minimum stay might be 1-, 2-, 3-, 4- or 5-nights for property A.
3. I'm not sure whether Orbitz will ever reveal online, even after booking whether property A is "participating" and whether I have been lucky enough to choose the correct minimum number of nights for property A.
4. If I go attempt bookings at another 20 to 100 hotels and am lucky enough to find another property B that participates (not sure if I'll even find this out before confirming my booking) I still won't know if I have booked enough nights to qualify, because, according to the Terms, this varies by property.
Furthermore, the terms of the future stay coupons currently being offered are pretty restrictive, even assuming one has no trouble finding participating hotels (which, based on my recent experience with Orbitz, I highly doubt will be the case):

My most recent experiences with Orbitz coupon codes:

However, my own personal "guess" is that the coupon you receive will work anywhere except Las Vegas (and maybe not on packages that cost less than $250). As for which hotels will earn the coupon, that seems pretty obvious: it's the one's with the "Fall Hotel Sale" icon. They are few and far between and seem to disappear over time, but there are some.
I'll definitely be making a run for this promotion.
