Reputable? Yes but probably not a site you want to use. Their members only site lmtclub.com usually has much better pricing. Last promo code for free membership I saw was TURKEYSENTME. If that had expired a google search should find you a current one.

The resort fees are an absolute rip-off (especially on lower end hotels) and if you look at the fine print on some of them, it's even worse. Take Excalibur for an example:
A daily resort fee of $20.16 (tax inclusive) for all reservations will be added upon check-in. Includes the following: Free wired high-speed Internet service in the guest room; free access to the fitness center; free incoming faxes; daily newspaper and free domestic and long distance phone calls.
On the lower end hotels, the resort fee can come close to matching the room rate itself. When you have the Plaza downtown with a "resort fee" and the El Cortez adding one...well you've pretty much obliterated the meaning of resort.
Anyhow I just wanted to mention that you can avoid the resort fees at CET properties in Las Vegas if you have the Total Rewards Visa Card. The sign-up bonus isn't very good but it doesn't have an annual fee. That gives you platinum status and you can choose to opt-out of the Resort Fee. You won't receive the perks, but you don't get charged either for the resort fee. If you are a frequent visitor to Las Vegas, it could add up for some savings.

You shouldn't need a day pass to get into the Mandalay Bay pool area, since there's a casino; by law, Mandalay can't deny you access to that part of the pool area. Follow the paths for the casino by the pool, and once you get there, just happen to walk out into the open pool area.

My wife and I are traveling to vegas in August this year.
The royal caribbean deals seems to be the best thing going so far.
Considering 2 nights @ aria (200 rc) + 2 nights @ mandalay (150 rc)
All in all hotels look to cost about $550, but then $350 back in rc.
Any issues if we book two of these promotions back to back?
tues/wed @ aria, thurs/fri @ mandalay
Should we do this under different names? (first block under my name, second block under her name).
Will they even care? I am certainly going to grease up the front desk with $20/$40 for an upgrade.
Then we are staying at the marriot las vegas (using a free e-certificate) on sat night since prices are absurd that night everywhere else.

Someone might be able to chime in with a more definitive answer.

Neither of us are Crown and Anchor members ... yet (we are planning to book a cruise for sometime next year but I realize the C&A membership does not kick in until after your voyage returns) So we know this is a very YMMV type deal. Will book them under different names and hope for the best.

Yes, booking third party can exempt you from resort fees. Booking hotel only on the BA site has long offered low price and no resort fees on a number of properties (NYNY, MC, Bellagio, etc). This past week we completed stays at Paris and PH booked thru Travelpony, no resort fees.
And it's not 'almost always' cheaper to book direct. It's generally a toss up. Some properties like Cosmo, Red Rock or 4S will always be cheaper third party. Others may be better direct if the credits they offer are useful to you. I usually don't want the show tickets or buffets they offer so end up booking on price alone which invariably means going with a third party. Takes a really exceptional and more flexible direct offer like the MLife Royal Caribbean deal to get me to book direct. And you don't need to book direct to be able to easily cancel.

I've never used the BA site or travelpony or LMT sites so can't say firsthand what to expect there.
But i'd +1 the posters who said that you should expect to pay a resort fee and be happy if its waived for whatever reason. I wish the hotels just stuck the fees it into the room rate but then that's bad marketing from their point of view as you'd see what you are really paying.
