M has a VERY liberal comp deal going on-get 500 points (about $25 in decent slot play last time I was there)and get a free buffet.
Also-they were doing a free buffet for new slot club members-never hurts to ask.
Otherwise even if you have to pay full price it is very fair especially if you have a couble of glasses of wine/beer as it is included in your meal.

You're driving from the N. Strip to Henderson for lunch?

Uh-huh.

bad info on the MO deal...

Mandarin Oriental, 12/5/09 to 2/28/10, buy one night, get one free plus $100 credit - use code LPKG10 online or over phone
I booked this online... the site didn't mention how much credit there was just that it was there. When I arrived they told me it was $50.

Still a good deal, one night plus $50, but not as quoted here on the site.

Also there is a crapload of noise outside the hotel. Noisiest hotel I have stayed at in Las Vegas. I will not return as noise is a big issue to me. Listening to some horrible music coming in through the windows and the floor is vibrating. Hotel said they would send security over to try to make them stop, I think that the people sponsoring the band are going to laugh.

Amex Platinum card holders are able to get a much better deal. Wish I knew before booking, could get the one night free plus $100 credit plus a room upgrade. I suggest using that if you have one and want to book this hotel.

Planet Hollywood LV- Jan 22-23 Weekend - $79/night +free bottle

Title says it all. Link: https://roomres.planethollywoodresor..._campaign=SNOV

Also, we are staying Jan 22-24, on a rate that is 80, 80, 64. It includes $40 gaming credit, a free bottle and 10% off of Planet daily's restaurant, so you mihgt want to ask about that as well.

Seems like too much a night to stay there now that its not a Starwood hotel. MGM and other hotels running better deals right now.

However this is a deal for the weekend and I don't think the other brands run similar offers. I know of lots of people who choose to downgrade over the weekend, staying downtown or in one of the older strip properties because weekends can run in +$100 in MGM and similar. I did not research prices for that particular weekend, but it does seem to be a good price.

Huhh? Seems not even a mini deal to be. Why is this in the deal forum? Such a price for Las Vegas is nothing special at all and since it wont be SPG any longer you will not even get points.

Well, for a WEEKEND, 80 bucks with $40 Casino credit and a bottle of booze, effectively makes this rate $50 per night, so I think that is a STEAL for a weekend.

I'm with Canuck on this one - for a weekend this is a great deal. I'm shopping now for a quick trip out in April, and we've seen nothing come close to this for a Friday/Saturday stay.

I wonder how the withdrawal from Starwood is affecting Planet Hollywood. Of course, I have always preferred to stay at other properties in LV, so it being Starwood never convinced me to stay there.

In terms of the OP, it is a good deal for the weekend.
