So with 35 minutes into the promotion, has anyone here (with the exception of GuyverII) been able to get past the initial webpage???

Got to the hotel page - clicked on check availability and got:

USAir gave out free tickets when they partnered with Barclays credit card in Jan-Feb06. I got quite a few, like WAS-PHX, Was-San. They were free and earned miles. You had to click a lot, but the website never went down.

A customer relations disaster
Given that this fiasco may be the first exposure of many to LHW, I suggest that this represents a meaningful screw up for LHW CR

I predict a surge in November bookings at other hotel chains today as everyone who was waiting to see if they could get one of these rooms "gives up."
I already pricelined a London hotel room for November figuring there was no way that was going to happen for $19.28.

That's it for me. One hour trying to get on and no luck. Oh well, I figured out that the hotel I wanted (with addition of taxes, daily service fees, etc.) would actually cost me almost $170 per day so it was basically a 50% off deal. Nice but certainly not worth all this anguish. Not to mention that I'm sure they would have stuck us in the worst room avaialable and even in very nice hotels some of the worst rooms can be much less than wonderful.
