Just heard back from the Langham HK - confirmed res for Nov 26 and 27. My ref number was 489.

The total rate comes out to around 332 HKD (or about $43 USD)

I also requested the ever popular Alex New York. Early December. I got a low 500s confirmation number (122477005XX) Judging by all the other FTers alone who were chasing the same hotel, it's looking more and more like it'll be a big, fat no.

The period between Thanksgiving and Christmas is very busy for hotels in New York so I'd be surprised if it's still available by the time they get to me.

i was #465. what day did you end up getting? i requested the 13/14 and 14/15th (of nov) as my options

Nope...Their status page said:

"You will be asked for your contact information including name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address. At no point will you be asked to provide credit card information."

No. I would feel a little bit better about it had I done so.
My confirm asks me to call the hotel if I plan to arrive after 6 pm.
