Better safe than sorry, but I'd don't think they've ever actually asked anyone for a card.

Not sure you what you're specifically concerned about. Add 9% tax to the quoted rate. On most of the deals, the first night's rate is charged at time of booking but it's refundable.

If you don't have a palyer's card you can sign up for one (free as mentioned) before checking in.

Nice find. Anyone with a discount promo for the new MGM at Foxwoods?

Boraxo Jun 15, 2008 11:26 am

Yes I was told by a casino exec at MGM that they are going to be running a lot of promo discounts this summer because business is slow. Apparently casinos are no longer recession proof (not a surprise given the normal weekend rates and marked up restaurants). Maybe Vegas will return to the bargain days of old, at least for off-peak dates :)

How long will this deal exist?

How long do you think this deal will be there?

I need to get the bill reimbursed from my employer. Will the invoice given for this reservation be any different from a regular booking?

Thank you

They do this deal almost every summer I can recall for the past 4-5 years. It will be around for a while. They may change it up a bit- higher rate, with a bigger food credit, etc...

Is it a nice property? I have been searching good rates for Planet Hollywood as I am a SPG gold member (and want the stay for status), but for end Sept/Oct - the rates are high. I could be persuaded to try out the MGM grand ;) if this price is right.

Thanks in advance for your help, fellow FTers :).

MGM is very nice. I have stayed there several times. It is not as over the top as Wynn or maybe Bellagio, but an excellent choice.

thorthor Jun 20, 2008 8:37 am

For better or worse it is the largest hotel in the US...

We actually quite liked our stay there. Nice room, easy access to everything.
