Exclamation BRG Opportunities via Expedia's 24 Hour Sale

I have verified the following hotels have lower rates (for the end of April, but probably well beyond) than Triprewards. TODAY ONLY on Expedia.com. Get your screenshots and claims in by 10:00 PM CST tonight. They will not be available on Expedia after today, so make sure those screenshots include the time and date.

There's quite a bit this week. Some repeats, but some new (and great!) opportunities:

Wingate by Wyndham - Schaumburg / Convention Center (Chicago, Illinois area)
Days Inn Hurstbourne/Louisville East (Louisville, Kentucky area)
Super 8 Motel Verona Madison (Madison, Wisconsin area)
Days Hotel - Hotel Circle (San Diego, California)
Ramada Savannah I 95 Gateway (Savannah, Georgia)
Ramada Morgan Hill (Silicon Valley, California)
Ramada Surrey (Vancouver, British Columbia area)

Additional details can be found at the The BRG Blog (link in my signature below).

Thanks for the post.

It appears that the Days Hotel in San Diego has been pulled for now from the TripRewards site for now. I get the message: "Dates for this property are not available on our system at this time"

I tried multiple one night dates in April and May.

I just looked for April 22-23 and it worked OK - are you on triprewards.com?

For the record to anyone, all of these used April 22 as the test date.

I wanted to do the Ramada in Morgan Hill...Is this a property that will likely be repeated next week, does anyone know?

It looks like the Saturday's I chose were not available. The Friday's Im trying are the same price on both sites. Looks like I'm out of luck since weeknights are out for me.

One of mine was denied, and I send a screenshot back. Sometimes they ignore the ones for Expedia 24 hr sales to do the next day, when they know the rates will be gone.

It's hard to say. It's not impossible. It wasn't there for the past three weeks, but that's not to say it won't be again in the future. The BRG Blog tracks these changes so keep your eyes peeled on Wednesdays for new opportunities (cross posted here, but posted earlier on that site).

The deal is gone - this was Expedia's 24 hour sale. The 24 hours have passed. They might reappear on the next 24 hour sale, so keep your fingers crossed.

Out of my 7 requests made yesterday morning for Shaumburg for different nights and names, 3 were approved last nite, 4 were declined today. I'm trying screenshots. By mistake, I made one reservation on non refundable rate, however.

They're being quite the set of jerks today.

I'd probably be the same, though, if a new blog popped online that led over 1,000 people per day to get free rooms.

The good thing is, if you have a screenshot, you're set. If they say no, ask to speak to a supervisor.

Are you sure about 1000 per day? Btw, i found out about Expedia sale from your blog. thanks.
I see such bookings as a process that takes some time and energy to do and it's for sure not for every one.
Are you sure about supervisor's decision? I heard they don't really accept screenshots.

They only accept screenshots as proof of a rate, so I'm not sure where you heard that from. As long as the screenshot shows the date and time of when it was taken, and is a screenshot of the credit card information page, showing the room type and check in/out dates and pre-tax rate, it will go through. Screw it up by not following the above instructions, and they will deny it.

I've had over 200 claims approved since June 2007, so I think I know what I'm talking about (hence the blog).

200! Why do you need a mortgage then?

Thanks for the info!

I've only ever sent a screenshot when I've had a rate refused, and I am arguing the point.

I create a Word document, with the screenshots, with step by step instructions, showing how to get to the rate page with the lower rate.
