I've got a 30 night block from 6/17-7/16 and a 20 night block from 7/25-8/14 or so. Can't wait to hear from SPG on this one.

WOW! Thanks. I got some good reservations for Aug,
It may not be my ideal vacation, but for $19, I'm happy to be that much closer to re-uping my plat status, if I need it and to spend a few nights in a great bed, have room service, rent a movie and relax.

If we can get a "companion" airfare going....

I doubt that many rooms will be tied up at this rate.
There was the Starwood-Lanesborough debacle too.

Hyatt and their Amerisuites have been very sweet consistently.

I wonder if Starwood will just give the option of moving you big bookers up to Platinum.

Maybe stay in Portland for a few days on the way to Oslo....
By the way, thank you yet again.

Still there June 9, 2006.

SPG Plat isn't quite worth $1000 to me (yet), so I refrained from booking 50 nights.

You are quite welcome. You have to admit, the game has gotten a lot better over the past few months.

^^

... just when people were asking "where are all the deals".

2005 has been a good year for deals. ^

I missed out on the Lanesborough deal (was actual travelling), but at least Starwood partially honored the bookings.

And I agree that Hyatt has been very nice about honoring similar rates.

Now I'm just waiting on the first person to report back from Zurich regarding the Best Western deal.

Why be Greedy

It's one thing to book this rate for a weekend or for a couple of days that you can use, but to hold it for a month or a couple of weeks and just block out inventory is not fair and sort of pathetic!

The Best Western Zurich for around the same price per night should be coming up this next month, if I am not mistaken. I look forward to the first reports. I have it closer to the middle of next year.

As is usual with these kind of deals, there will probably be a fair amount of cancellations.

Apparently, this hotel has airport drop-off and pick-up of some kind. I had no idea that it was anywhere close to the airport.

Gone?

Any other dates avaliable? I'm not finding anything now... only got 10 nights then it seemed to dry up.
