The suite rate is interesting but you can't beat $15 a night! Booked a week stay hoping it won't get cancelled.

maybe something funny with accor website - I see the same thing (same price for all rooms from twin to presidential suite) at at least one other hotel in Istanbul (Bomonti) and on different dates...

The location is pretty bad though. You'll have to commute for a long time to get to anywhere nice, the subway is also too far away from the hotel.

flyjfk The hotel is a bit out of the center, yes, and the public transport seems take a long time (according to Google Maps). A car shows around 25 minutes (22km), and a taxi estimator shows the cost between 11-18€.

Do you know if the AREA bad, or is it just that the hotel is not near the tourist center?

There's nothing special about the area. There are some shopping malls with no character and office buildings around it. With traffic, if you wanted to drive to nicer places it can take even longer than 25 mins because you'll have to use one of the main highways, which are usually pretty congested. Even if you take a cab, you'll sit in traffic for a long time.

I would not recommend the area to anyone who would visit the city, not because it's dangerous or something. It's just that there's literally nothing there, and going to a nicer area will take so much time.

This rates are for one person, too. You can also book refundable with no deposit for $6 more.

There is something wrong with the Accor website. For example, it shows other hotels in Istanbul available for 1 person, but not for 2, when all rooms clearly have 2 person occupancy.

I can’t see that - but they seem to have zero’ed availability for the Bomonti from January onwards - maybe that’s why?

Any other cities seem to be effected?

So, what do you think will happen with 2 people showing up per room, instead of the booked one, will they try to adjust the rate?

On one person rates you should only have one person show up at the checkin counter. They aren't going to break down the door at 2am to check that your visitor (partner) from earlier in the day has left

The hotel offers online check-in which will also avoid unnecessary interaction.
