JW Marriott Los Cabos New Year’s 2019

Just made a reservation for the JW Marriott Los Cabos for five nights over New Year’s 2019/2020 for $179 per night. This seems abou 90% off market rates. Availability still seems open on MAR booking site.

Very interested, but not seeing it. Can you provide more info on how you booked this? Thanks!

Was searching various locations on Marriott.com for Dec 27 - Jan 1 stay and the $179 rate came up in the Los Cabos search. It was a minimum 30-day advance purchase non-refundable rate.

$179 seems right for Mexico. What am I missing?

This is an incredible deal for ultra high season. Thanks for sharing. Unfortunately the non-refundable is a deal breaker for me

Still available. Thats a great rate for those dates. Never been there, wish I could go, but the non refundable is a deal breaker for me also.

That is less than half the price for even weekday high season, let alone NYE.

Thanks for posting.

Interesting.. The $180 rate is still there, but you have to spend a minimum of 5 nights to get the rate to show.
After clicking to confirmation, the blow off is the taxes and service fees, if you include those, the total is about $230/night.

I think I'm going to let this slide. The JW in cabos do not have lounge, they have a "griffin's club", but it seems to be a privilege lounge, but only access for folks paying extra only.
Bfast is the infamous Continental bowl of Fruit, 1 slice of Toast and a Coffee.

It's a nice property, but I'm eyeing on the Solaz, Luxury Collection. Much newer and they give you full bfast. It's also worth noting you will have to fork out about $100-200 more/night.

Not a chance you will find Solaz for under 300 a night over new years eve. I just stayed there over NYE this year - I promise it wasn't $300.

TIL that even in Cabo it's all about the breakfast for some.

I was there for 5 days in 2016 ... great property, never left poolside. But yeah, the non-refundable part is a dealbreaker.

Yea, you're right! We don't really need to be in Cabos for NYE. There are many other nights I saw for Solaz at $250.
So, probably doesn't work out for our travel pattern.
