Black Friday/Cyber Monday 2017

looks like expedia will have BF hotel deals beginning at noon ET; traditionally cyber monday has their better deals.

orbitz had great deals in both 2014 and 15 (they teamed up with visa checkout), but they were awful last year.

ETA: here’s last year’s thread Black Friday/Cyber Monday 2016

Sorry all coupons are redeemed. How long did BLACKFR75 last?

Rocketmiles awards 50% miles on every booking today. I signed up for their 3000 miles first booking promo long time ago but was never able to find anything that would match my plans and make economic sense. So I let it expire. But today I found a fair and fully refundable (that has never happened before!) deal for Cordis in HKG. 22.5 k AA miles for 3 nights in January. I could have booked for less at Agoda or Expedia etc. but only a non-refundable rate. Strangely that included hotel's website as well - their refundable rates are higher than Rocketmiles. I may be up for some terrible experience - yes, I'm familiar with the disaster stories - but if I expect the worst then I could only be nicely surprised

Btw - since I'm fairly flexible with my travel plans I tried to enter different combinations of parameters. The type of rate (refundable vs non-refundable) and number of miles earned by this booking would change depending on dates, length of stay and the award program. So the promotion may be completely worthless to you if you're going to Boston in December.

Seemed to be around 10 minutes before "all coupons redeemed" message.

Last year did they use the same hotel list for the Cyber Monday promotion?

certainly not at Expedia! This is exactly where I wasted time: trying for 75% off reservations that were originally over $1334. I didn't realize one of limitations was that "savings" were not to exceed $1000 lol

Too many exclusions haha . At first I didn't realize that the dates were only up until March 31. Almost missed out

Sorry, I should have specified. It was indeed Expedia: "Expedia for TD Canada." They emailed me a promo code (TDBF50) that was valid for a one-time use, with no cap! It has ruined me for other Black Friday deals...

Junior suite at a Venice hotel with breakfast for $340 USD (5 nights total). Last week of March. Perhaps not amazing since it's off season, but not bad right? Cheap.

Sounds like fun. So did the math show true 75% off, considering all taxes/fees?
