Cool... what dates? I hate hotels that charge a resort fee though

It's weird how people post. Exact Dates can make double-triple difference in room value (hi dates vs. shoulder dates). And resort fees are the same money out of your pocket as the room price - so why specify room charge and NOT specify fee charge...

here is a more important query: given that codes were disclosed in advance, there are some Expedia customers who (although duly prepared with all their info on Expedia app) encountered "code expired" literally on the hour+seconds upon code's release.

In years past, a few of us were successful in imploring Expedia to honor Cyber Monday's near-booking. Anyone with first hand experience?

What do you mean that codes were disclosed in advance?

right here, and likely elsewhere, too.

I clearly remember Expedia honoring a few claims that were about uncompleted bookings within the first minute of a "contest"

in the thread. On public boards.

Again, it's certainly up to an individual Expedia CS supervisor to approve - does anyone want to try, and post individual outcome?

The codes were not disclosed, at least not to me. I just made educated guesses on what the next code might be. I also haven't made any bookings today thanks to the less-than-stellar options.

I booked 4 days at the Bahia Principe in Jamaica all inclusive with the 50% code for $600 all in, I thought it was a decent deal, and I was pretty clumsy with it in my first go, took me a minute.

After that it was a disaster though, the 90% codes were gone in 1-2 seconds. In the last round the 50% codes were gone in about 7 seconds. Seriously?

I think at least the 90% codes are probably fixed/leaked/fake. All gone in 1-2 seconds max, ridiculous. I was ready, kept refreshing every second, entered code immediately, said expired. No later than 1-2 seconds after posted in each round.

Priceline had a better sale today for its opaque "Express Deals." New promo codes every hour ranging from lame ($25 off) to very good ($750 off a booking of $1000 or more). I was able to apply the $750 code at 8AM this morning, and I was 100% sure of what the hotel was that I would be booking, but I was sure something better would come up with Expedia or Travelocity. Oops. [sigh]
