Employee Network rate
Has anyone used this? Do they ask for ID if you book through the discount site?

No way to tell until you check in. Why don't you just bring it with you? At a minimum, it will avoid them billing the room at the rack rate (typically 4-5x what you have booked at) until they can get ahold of HR to verify your employment. Or, if they are busy, they just give you the boot. Not worth the risk.
