Hilton Tokyo Flash Sale - Half Price On All Rooms, End August 2016 (Hopefully More)

Was looking for a hotel near HND at end of August and saw Hilton Tokyo 30-31 August half price. Hilton website lists it as follows:

HH FLASHSALE 72HR RO 50 PCT JULY TIMESALE 72HR RO

All rooms seem to be half price. Standard twin/double 12000 Yen, reduced from 24000 Yen.

Haven't checked other dates. Other Tokyo Hiltons don't seem to be offering this sale. I also googled "Hilton Flash Sale Japan" and with "2016" and "July 2016" on the end and got nothing useful.

Hope someone can use it!

Hmm.. tried looking for 7/15-7/19 but with no luck... did you just find it by going through hilton.com?

Yes, but I only looked at 30th Aug (as that was the single date I needed) and since I couldn't find references to the sale anywhere, I have no idea where in the 72 hour period we are!

The Loyalty Lobby post may have more detail. I'll take a look now...

It seems that sale is only valid for dates up to 31 Sep.

I tried searching for Seoul

Oh wow… the non-refundable-ness is a downer. I know I'll be in Tokyo, but my dates are still likely to move by a day or two… tough to commit right now.

That said, snagging the Conrad for $175/night (w/ Citi) instead of $466 would be a huge score.

I guarantee that you won't ever find availability for September 31st.

They're saying 50% off Hiltons in Japan and S. Korea. 9 hours left in the sale:

I've got a trip to Japan planned for next week. Booked into Hilton Nagoya and Hilton Osaka. Not sure if it's really 50% off what the rate would be or 50% off an inflated rate.

Considering booking at Conrad Tokyo but it's still $300+ per night.

Wasn't paying attention on this particular occassion, but in the past I have definitely witnessed them jacking up rates significantly right before a flash sale.

Why can't they ever have flexible rates for these sales? I basically missed out on this because my plans are still fuzzy by a few days… this blows

Just wait another week or so, and the rates will go back to what they were before they jacked them up before the flash sale.

Flash sale has ended.

They are basically mimicking the airlines.

Because people could lock in low rates while the hotel gets no real benefit because the people can just cancel later.
