BanyanTree Lijiang, China - Plunge Pool Villa $49++
BanyanTree Lijiang, a nice resort in Yunnan, China, is showing $49++ for a Plunge Pool Villa with breakfast on Orbitz. Cancelation policy one day prior. Mistake Price - Normally $534++.
Available Mondays now until end of March on Orbitz and HotelClub. A bit cold to use the pool at this time of the year. But excellent price for those who happen to be heading that way.
Only showing one villa per Monday for $49++. Thinking about staying at InterContinental/Indigo/Gand Hyatt(all decent new properties) for the weekend, along with Monday at BanyanTree ...

Great price.. been wanting to go to this area for quite sometime but like you mentioned pretty cold during that timeframe

Heard from someone (who called BanyanTree) that Orbitz is honoring this mistake rate. Probably because not too many people got into this deal. After all, there is only one room per Monday during a three month period available at this rate.

Visited Lijiang back in 2006 and it was brilliant as it was still rough around the edges. I suspect although the hotels have gone upmarket it will have lost some of its charm. However if you can get a independent guide I suspect there is still potential for some amazing day trips. I also liked Kunming as a staging post on my way to Lijiang.
