Booked 3 nights from Jan 1-4 at $27.50 a night with AAA. What are the chances of them actually honoring this?

Further research indicates that the weather in January 2015 should be much better than the weather in January 2014. The "polar vortex" that hit the Chicago area earlier this month should not return next year. Here is the link:

Pizano's on Madison is also very good. But Lou's is better.
