That rate was around for 2 months. If you see it on a board like you've got to book as soon as possible before it gets fixed.

I tried booking within 2 hours of the post and it was already gone.

Yep. I wasn't trying to criticize anyone. I only pointed out the time it was around to help emphasize how quickly these can go when publicized. I didn't post it myself because I didn't uncover it and such things are respectfully left up to deal finders.

The major reason the deal gets killed is when someone calls the hotel "to verify that they are going to honor the mistake rate".

Maybe. In this case I think most likely is they just noticed the unusually large number of bookings. Major point earning chain in Philly on a single day.. that'll happen. Originally this rate was for two dates. The first was fixed awhile ago but this lingered.
