[EXPIRED] Outrigger Launa Waikiki $34 per night
Got a possibly targeted email from Hawaiian Airlines offering me 4 nights at the Outrigger Luana Waikiki for 5,000 Hawaiian Airlines Points. Since you can buy Hawaiian points for 134.40 that's still a good deal I think.
Looks like this hotel usually goes for about 129 per night.
here is what the email said.
For a limited time, redeem 5,000 HawaiianMiles for an exclusive
four-night stay at the Outrigger Luana Waikiki. This hotel package
is only available on a first-come, first-serve, limited-availability basis.
Hurry and call 1-866-215-6717 to book your reservations today!

If don't have Hawaiian miles, can transfer 5000 SPG points 1:1, although the deal will probably be over by the time the transfer is complete. Could still use miles for intra-Hawaii flight.

I'd imagine this deal is 5,000 bonus HA miles earned when you pay to stay 4 nights.
ETA: Skipped over the email details you quoted. If this is truly available for redemption I'd imagine this doesn't last long.

I just spoke with them, they have a separate line just for the reservations. Thanksgiving weekend is already sold out.

They cannot be cancelled I also found out.

Tried to book with 15 minutes of getting the email, but apparently all dates gone...
I was totally flexible - ANY 4 day period in Oct, Nov or December...
Is it really possible that all dates in Oct, Nov and Dec sold out within 15 minutes... ?
I'm thinking there may be some bait and switch here, since the first thing they wanted to do was sell me a room at regular rates...

The fine print states that there are limited rooms available. So that might have played a part in not finding availability.
