tour guide

travelling to HKG for the 1st time in a couple of weeks.
Does anyone have recommendations for a 121 tour guide?

I actually googled "121 tour guide" and I still don't know what it is, but I can tell you that Hong Kong is a pretty easy city to figure out on your own.

a personal guide 1 on 1.

One has to wonder why? A complete stranger, though friendly and paid to be showing you places you can find on your own.

HKG is completely doable in English. Unless you're looking for some exotic locales, you're fine doing it yourself.

http://www.discoverhongkong.com/ is probabaly the best site for you to research where to go

Hong Kong is 100% tourist / expat friendly. We need you! :P

thanks for the comments.
i just thought a guide would be able to show me a bit more of Hong Kong than the usual tourist trails. If its all doable alone, I guess thats what i'll do!

I've been to Hong Kong many times and agree there's little need for a guide.

But my wife's parents and two of their friends will be visting Asia for the first time. And I'd like to have someone pick them up and take them around.

Can anyone recommend a private tour guide for HKG for first-time visitors who would prefer the hand holding that such a thing entails?

I concur with many prior posts that suggest you don't really need a guide in HK. Save you $ and spend it in the malls.

Certainly that's true, but --

Anyone with suggestions, even given that this is wholly unnecessary? :)

Me..! why not..?

I've had to do it for the past 6 years for friends and family.
I'd be pleased to do it. It can be fitness themed, shopping themed, historical, kid friendly....

Send me a message..

Marc.
