Gambling currency in Macau
 
I will be taking a day trip to Macau from HKG. I have a friend that wants to gamble. Do I need to convert my HKG or US currency to MOPs to play? If so, I take it I can do that at the casino?

HKD is the main gambling currency. Some casinos let you wager Patacas (different chips). You can exchange USD for HKD cash or chips at any casino. Good luck!

Macau casino chips are in denomination of Hong Kong Dollars.
They will exchange most currencies for chips.

Looks like we'll just bring our HKG dollars then. Thanks! Also, the minimum gambling age is 18, right?

18, but there are plans to change this to 21
