New superior Italian restautant in Macau

Wandering around in Macau I came across a small place that I havn't seen before. Ani Italian restaurant called Bistro Italiano. Looked very clean from outside and I put it on my schedule to check it out.

So we went last night. Inside the decoration is nothing very special on the first view, but looking again I was very surprised that every detail you could think about is taken care of. The same applies to the food they serve. I was even more surprised that the owner was Asian (turned out to be Vietnamese).
He had so much knowledge about italian cusine that I asked him how he could do this. Then he said he was 40 years old and had 24 years experience in a similar restaurant in Paris. (He is fluent in Vietnamese, Cantonese, Mandarin, Thai, good English and perfect French and one more language - I forgot which one). All his ingredients he gets from France. I was not surprised when he said that many of the executives of the luxury hotels like Wynn are his customers.
The place is open 9 months now. His prices are not at all reflectig the quality (yet).

Highly recommended.

the adress on the namecard reads:
Bistro Italiano
Mr. Duong Trung Duc
Rua de Pequim, 66C, K, Macau
Tel. 789701 - Mobile: 6537596
When exiting the Diamond Casino of the Holiday Inn it is in the opposite side street across Rua de Pequim.

There is a French restaurant in Guangzhou where the owner/chef is also Vietnamese and lived in Paris for many years before opening this restaurant. Food is fantastic and great value....dodgy location though so you'd have to be local to find it - Called Trois Foie Gras.
