Where's the best place to have high tea?

Peninsula?

Well, the classic experience is the Peninsula, but there are better choices. The Mandarin Oriental is one.

If you've never had tea in HK, you may as well go to the Pen and use it as a baseline for other experiences.

The architecture at the Peninsula is stunning (and unique) if you like classic (art deco) decor. Particularly nice is the band playing on the balcony overlooking the lobby (while you have tea). The food is a small part of the experience (the Mandarin has better food). The Sheraton across the street also has tea (half price, but half the experience). If you are a true tea fanatic (or just want to try a different tea experience), there are Chinese tea houses (these have nothing in common with English tea). Ask the concierge in your hotel, you will need directions written in Chinese (to show the taxi) if you want to try Chinese tea. Do this only if you are brave and have an open mind (actually it isn't that extreme, but you get the idea).

After peninsula, at the race Coure, if you have membership, then Verandah in Repluse Bay area.
