Airside transfer HKG separate tickets?

Hey all, this summer I'll be arriving into HKG on SQ J and travelling out on separate ticket with EVA J with roughly 5 hours in between. Does HKG have airside transfer desks? Or will I have to exit and re-enter. I do not have any checked bags. I've only done airside transfers at SIN in the Asian region (most convenient airport for airside transfers IMO) but not HKG. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks very much!

PS. I know there are all the star lounges at hkg, but which contract lounge does eva use out of curiosity. I was seeing a couple reports of club bauhinia, but nothing to confirm. Thanks again!

Yes, there are several transit security points. You'll only need the transfer desk if you are unable to check-in online and generate some sort of boarding pass (paper or mobile) to show at transit security. But in any case no need to go landside.

No idea on the Eva lounge, sorry.

Not sure why EVA feels the need to pay for a contract lounge despite 3 good *A lounges.

EVA used to use the Virgin clubhouse until that closed, but I never went in there because they didn't allow *G in Y to bring a guest.

It's not exactly a contract lounge - The Bauhinia Lounge is HK Airlines' lounge, and HK Airlines codeshares on all Eva flights to Taipei, and vice versa.

Great to hear! Thanks all for the replies and help! Follow up: Is the transfer desk for EVA open all day? I would imagine yes due to the many flights but not too sure on this one. Thanks again!

The transfer desks are not airline specific. And open all day.

Curiously, the HK airport website does specify specific desks for specific airlines.

I believe beep88 meant to say the area in general.

I'm attempting to do something very similar. Transfer time of about 2.5 hours between the two flights. I'm traveling with hand luggage only.
Arriving on Cathay Dragon and departing on Scandinavian Airlines. Around 10pm so hoping it's a little quieter at the airport.
It should be ok right?

Even if you had checked bags that would be fine because Cathay Dragon would check them through to SAS. 2.5 hours will give you a lot of time in the lounge.

Cathay Dragon will print your online Boarding Pass. Use a transit security point further away from the transfer desks for shorter lines.

Cathay Dragon will check them through even if they are on separate tickets?
Can you tell me where I can get a boarding pass away from the transfer desks?

Of course you will have a printed online BP or a mobile BP to get through transit security, and there are several such points - choose one well away from the transfer desks where clueless people go to get onward boarding passes.

Yes they will: Through-check to final destination Frequently asked questions - Cathay Pacific

Cathay Dragon will give you your onward boarding pass, as per the above link.
