What time does the last A21 bus leave to HKG?

I now have a 6 hour layover and thinking of simply taking the A21 r/t and walk around Kowloon, not looking to use the AE. But it all depends what time the last bus heads to HKG if it will be worthwhile, not interested in the Night buses

Also does anyone know if CXs Biz lounge is open 24 hrs, if not what time does it close? As Id like to leave my carry-on there, before heading into Kowloon but wont go if I cant get it when i get back to the airport obviously and not interested in taking it with me

Inbounding into HKG with a connecting flight after midnight

TIA

Last "regular" A21 leaves at midnight, last AE leaves at around 12:45. Taxis and night buses are your only options after that time. As far as I know all CX lounges are closed after the last flight out.

thx just to be sure, you are saying the last A21 to the airport and not from the airport leaves its term in Kowloon at midnight? what time is the last flight out, Need to make sure I can get back into the lounge at say 12am, will all of them be open or just a few? Arriving on KA so ideally would like to drop the carryon at the closest lounge but would go out to the pier where Im departing from if need be and walk all the way back

The wing, pier, cabin, bridge, qf, etc are for departing passengers (i.e once you're there, you can't leave the airport without an escort).

You can check the app for "Next Bus" time. Remember that the total journey time is approx. 78 minutes. It's not the quickest way. If you want to be back at HKG by midnight, you should be checking the app for the next bus by 22:00. At least at that time, they run every 15 minutes.

Depart from Hung Hom Station:

Mon-Sat
20:30 - 23:00 (every 15 mins)
23:00 - 00:00 (every 30 mins)

Sun & PHs
21:40 - 23:00 (every 20 mins)
23:00 - 00:00 (every 30 mins)

I don't believe it's possible to leave carry-ons at a lounge and then enter Hong Kong as you'd have to go to the departure area/security to get to the lounge. There is baggage storage between Terminals 1 and 2, near the bus terminal. It's HK$12 an hour.

If you are going back to airport same day, you may as well buy the Same Day Return ticket on Airport Express. It is the same cost as single journey ticket (HKD$115). It is also much quicker than A21.

Had this been my 1st time to HK Id agree with you. In my case it was more of a way to kill the time w/o spending 5 -6 hrs at the airport. Plus I enjoy riding down Nathan Rd and you cant see anything when on tehtrain, while you can take it all in via the bus, especially if sitting upstairs.

Had I had an appointment to meet up with some folks Id probably go via the AE to make sure I get there and max out the time with them, but thats not the case with me

Its sort of moot now , since I spent 2+ hrs walking around The muslim q last night here in Xi'an, Nathan rd will be a ghost town in comparison

Now should we get in say 20+ mins early then I might still jump on the A21 get off by theSheraton, walk down to the water and walk alitle along NR and hop onto a bus back to HKG, it will still beat spending 6 hrs in the lounge as nice as they are @ HKG

Well no problem with what I should do, the KA XIY-HKG flight is delayed by 2 hours, guess the lounge/s it will be, thx everyone for your help. Im sure it will be needed in the near future on another Asia trip Im planning

Apart from A21, there are also the buses of N21 and N21A if you travel between the city from 0020 to 0500am
The journey takes longer time for these 2 routes (say 25-30 mins extra compared to A21), even though I think your midnight departure do not need N21/N21A.
