Lion Dance?
My son (11) is fascinated by the Lion Dance. Is it only possible to see it during the Chinese New Year, or are there programs in Hong Kong where we could see it at other times of the year? We are planning to visit in November.

Lion dance troupes have strong connections with local community-based organisations and are hired out for commercial and political and social events throughout the year. Best to ask around when you're in Hong Kong.

I believe there was an international lion dance championship at the MGM Macau in November of 2015. Not sure if it's been scheduled for 2016.

Almost certain to see plenty at Che Kung Temple in Sha Tin on the 2nd and 3rd day of the year. But very very crowded.
