HK station. It is in the same building, go down a level or two to the food courts.

Perfect. This will work out well. We can head over to the peak tram first, take in the view, come back to the IFC Mall and have dim sum. Then we can putter around the area or go over to Kowloon.

Can you get a Airport Express return ticket that has you get off at HK station and return from Kowloon station or does the return have to be from the same station?

Buy the same day roundtrip for Hong Kong ($100) and you're fine. Not the $90 for Kowloon only.
