Where to Rent a Boat

Can't afford a yacht, but where can I rent a small speedboat..or maybe even a kayak? Interested in doing a day trip to explore the Hong Kong National Geopark by water instead. Not so interested in joining those tour groups.

Well thats what normally meant by local for renting a boat. If you mean small speedboat I doubt there's anyone to rent it unless you join those yacht club.

Will recommend you to join local tours to those places instead.

There are smaller boats at about 3000 for 6 pax/8 hrs. Google will give you some direct options -or sites like these:

https://getmyboat.com/

The "3000" you quote is in US$! The cheapest boat quoted on that site when entering "Hong Kong" when I go to it is in fact the boat that I listed above which shows there at US$500 per day. And I'm pretty sure that those prices at GetMyBoat exclude fuel, which brings you back to the price I originally mentioned.

Sorry - I meant HK$. All in, your price sounds about right. You can likely haggle it down a bit mid-week.
