But that's easily accessible if you're already on the MRT. If on the other hand, you're on the MTR, you probably need to take it to the airport and then fly to where you can get on the MRT.

If you are on the MTR, you'll have to take a bus or a taxi from the Tung Chung terminus. You could, of course, take the AEX all the way into the airport. But that's not "the MTR", even though it's run by the MTR Corporation.

Suggestions?

Now back to the topic.

What kind of fun are you trying to look for?

(Declaimer - if the fun you look for will get this thread shut, I will suggest you to buy a newspaper in Hong Kong. It will be way much easier.)

Portland Street is east of Shanghai St, and I had never heard of port activity in the history of that area.

My TaiKoo Dockyard/shipping archive mention good from China to Kowloon being off loaded near MK/Jordan and Sai/Shueng Wan if destined for HK Island circa late 19th century. At one time before the occupation there was a MK ferry pier.

Do they even advertise that sort of stuff in newspaper now a days? Wouldn't a magazine be better?

I don't really care if it is in a newspaper or magazine.

I am simply trying to help OP without getting this thread shut.

Technology has advanced substantially since the days of newspapers and magazines... witness MoMo.

There are enough placard holders, sandwich borads and handing out of flyers around MK that the old way always work.

In case you haven't noticed, Tencent has been trying to its hardest to reorient wx as a marketing platform during the course of the past several months. By way of example, "look around" has now been renamed "friends nearby". Beneath the surface, their censors are increasingly skilled at killing MoMo style solicitations in short order.

Thanks to all the brothers who have been very helpful I ended up having a really great time in Hong Kong. I just stored my luggage by the Airport and took bus no 21 directly to Yau Ma Tei and stayed there for 2 days and had lots of fun both short time and long time.

Thanks a lot to all you guys, really appreciate it.

Thank you OP for the other funny thread about your experiences in Dubai. People were not believing you, but yes, you were right.
