I have to agree that the crowds, wait times and lack of ambiance at DTF don't really make it a great place if you want a nice, quiet fine dining experience. I mean, the food is certainly excellent but even the likes of Crystal Jade have a Bib Gourmand, and to be honest the atmosphere at DTF isn't much better.

The price of a hostel room in Chungking Mansions during the Canton Fair will, as the 2003 Hong Kong tourism board's slogan noted, "take your breath away." So, if I could get a Michelin starred meal for a couple hundred US, then spend the night in Shenzhen, that's pretty good...

Does anyone have experience dining at Cusine Cusine or Caprice? I have reservations at both and was hoping for some FlyerTalk feedback.

Thx.

Caprice is great in the terms of service, food and romantic environment, very posh. My family and me used to go there on a frequent basis, but now we go to amber/pierre more (due to the fact caprice doesn't change their menu very often).

Cuisine Cuisine is an alright place for Chinese food, nothing particularly special about it. I personally feel that Chinese food should be in a loud/noisy environment, the less fancy the better.
