Good point, I've been doing this for about a year now. Sometimes the floor plan is in the hotel book in your room too.

I've posted on this before, but I hate how the dishonestly runs rampant with desk clerks. I can't tell you how many times I've booked an exec room or something nicer than regular and I get the, "welcome Mr mnredfox, we've upgrade you to the exec floor."

No you haven't, I booked it.

Remember not all floor plans posted on the doors and in the room info book are drawn to scale.
