I think you have a good chance, if you argue for your one-category upgrade as Diamond benefit.

Just paid 35000 XPF/night to guarantee the OWV upgrade as HH Gold (for flexible # of nights).

Wasn't wiling to chance it on our honeymoon as only a HH Gold. We arrive late on night 1 so only booked for the last 3 nights, hoping they'll ago ahead and just throw in night 1 (but if not all good).

Also offered 50k for a confirmed upgrade to OWV with Pool but required booking that for the entire stay so opted not to do that one (though may inquire about it on the spot if they still have availability).

This resort in general doesn't face Otemanu. That said, bungalows 101-107 may have a decent view though not really full on since you'll be looking at it between islands.

If your reservation started with a points stay you are not entitled to a category upgrade due to status. Even if you paid to upgrade the room. Please don’t argue with them!

We paid to upgrade to the Royal OWB. Best paid upgrade I have ever purchased! We requested room 107. Views of BB and the open ocean. The other Royal faces the reception are and dock. Not nearly as nice of a view.

FYI.....only 107 on that side, facing the mountain has a pool. All the rest just have double hammocks....

Anyone else that booked nights directly with them who did not get your points posted from your spending and upgrades? Looks like I'll have to file a claim. Had an enjoyable time there for 8 nights and our guests we brought enjoyed it as well. And to report on the mattresses, yes they replaced them and they are much better than what the pre-Conrad Hilton had. We enjoyed both the Chinese restaurant and the French, as well as the breakfast.

I just cancelled a 5 night award booking for March 2019 (5th-10th), all 5 nights went straight back to inventory if anyone is looking, get it quick.

Evidently the Conrad BB has changed policy so that reservations cannot be cancelled online, you have to call. Noticed this while pulling up my reservation this morning, it definitely hasn't always been like that.

Make sure your points are returned! I recently cancelled a six-night stay for early July 2019, and like yourself, I had to call to cancel. However, after a few days the points hadn't been redeposited, so had to have numerous exchanges with HH via Twittier until it finally got resolved by a lovely person in Hilton Corporate

Similar experience here. I cancelled one night and points were not returned. I called the Diamond desk and several days later still no points in my account. I will have to call again...
