I thought the OP was commanding us to watch our e-mails for something GOOD -- like a new HHonors offer. Instead, it turns out that some e-mails to a few customers are (apparently) being misdirected.

Also, I don't like being "commanded" to do things unless there is a very good reason -- like an emergency, natural disaster, the end of the world, etc. :eek: :p (And I "watch my e-mails" in any case. ;))


If you don't like the title of the thread you can always ask a mod to change it. Also, if anyone took the title of the thread as a command they might need to lighten up a bit. You always have the option not to read, not to open, and not to reply.

Basically this email is to inform the member that there is no activity on his/her HH account for the pass 12 months, unless he/she completes a qualifying action before Feb. 1, 2009, the aforementioned HH account will be closed & any remaining HH points will be forfeited.

Thank you for the translation, but considering that I indeed have had activity in my Hilton HHonors account within the past 12 months, this e-mail announcement makes no sense at all.

My account is very active indeed but they can now claim that they gave me some warning to close my account in Feb 2009 ... :D

I got the mentioned "Asian character" email 3 times today. All of them ended up in my spam filter ... they looked genuine to me.

The HH website times out in 20 seconds or less, I get emails and telephone calls from the timeshare hustlers, I get lists of hotels in a city but often witout any prices, the website is unavaioable 20% of the time, I get HH emails in foreign languages etc etc etc.

Mr Burke I suggest HH lease the marriott.com* software and make it easier to book rooms with Hilton. Who knows, maybe they will sell more rooms.
