All we ask is that you get the spelling right in the title -- asking for advice on LAX airports. We koalas would rather pass away than get the wrong leaf, sorry to be picky, and certainly no offense meant. K

The best deal at LAX is the nice Hilton HGI. I stayed last weekend for $59. I received an upgraded room, full breakfast (0600-1000 weekdays and 0630-1000 weekends) cooked to my order and the waitress brings it to my table, free parking etc. No evening cocktail hour, but had an excellent salmon dinner for $10. The ES was over twice the cost. Many rooms have free high speed internet (unfortunately mine did not) but it was available for free on the computer in the HGI Business Center.

I'll second that, one caveat, there isn't anything around there that you will want to walk too unless you like walking around industrial parks... the hotel itself is great though, its only a couple years old as well

Embassy Suite LAX South or West
Plan to stay Embassy Suite near LAX area with 2 kids. The web site said that all rooms are 2-rrom suite. Do both hotels have queen sofa bed in all of their rooms? Which one is better hotel? Pls advise.

Real Late Checkout at LAX area Hiltons
Will be departing for NZ out of LAX on a 10pm departure. Anyone know if any of the LAX area Hilton family of hotels permits very late checkouts (about 6pm)? OR will I need to book another night?

Stayed at LAX Hilton on 4/16. Got free 'late' checkout until 1. I think it was an extra $25 to stay until 4. We just checked out at 12, stored luggage in their luggage room, and took a city tour arranged by bell desk. Got back at 6, retrieved luggage, took their shuttle to int terminal. Worked out great.

I know this hotel is not part of the Hilton chain ( actually it's Starwood), but the Four Points at LAX has a 24 hr policy from checkin........you check in at 10pm, your 24 hour day ends the next day at 10pm.
