Anyone know if you have to leave the airport to check into this hotel? I have a late night flight in and an early flight out in the morning. Looking for a hotel that I don't have to go through security if possible. I know they are not opening until July 2010 now.

Never heard about an airport hotel inside security. I know there are some lounges that offer sleeping options at various airports but a full blown hotel ?

Worst case there is always sleeping at airports

Nice, are they even inside security ? Just checked their web site, they rent out their rooms in blocks of 6 hours. Also like their swimming pool, would be cool to go for a swim during a 3 hour stop over.

Unfortunately don't transit through SIN anymore after moving to the US. Last time there was 2000.

It is airside but outside of security as screening is now at the actual gate.

Well I spent yesterday in Beijing Airport taking a three hour delay because a big blue 747 had to have clear air space, apron space etc en route to Seoul. However, a quick look at the Hilton Beijing airport looked like it would not make its opening this side of Christmas.

It looks as if they have really slowed down construction - perhaps it is a credit crunch thing, but it really hasn't looked much different on the five trips I've made to China this year.

Ended up in the downtown Hilton, where they treated me royally. Am now in the Shanghai Hilton - again, splendid service and an upgrade.

Thanks everyone for your replies. I will hope it opens by next Fall. They are taking reservations beginning Oct. 1. We'll see when they actually open.

Any recent reviews?

We are thinking of staying at this hotel for three nights in September on a point stretcher award. Has anyone had any recent experiences at this hotel? How does the hotel treat diamonds? Is it possible that they will assign us a room on the executive floor? If not, will we have access to the executive lounge? Our amenity is an upgrade. Despite the posted terms and conditions, we have received different treatment from different hilton branded properties on award stays. I would like to be know what to expect so that I can be mentally prepared. Thank you for your assistance.

On my way to PEK T3, I saw a banner on the outside of this property. It opened on 28 July 2010.
