Arrow Hampton Inn & Suites Carson City {US-NV}

Stayed here Tuesday and Wednesday nights on a business trip. If all Hampton Inns were like this I would have no cause to ever stay anywhere else.

Beautiful almost new property, very friendly staff. Diamond recognition with amenities in room waiting for me. "Upgrade" to large room on 3rd floor with sitting area, bar with microwave and coffee maker and complimentary popcorn. At first I thought it was left by a prior guest, but it was replaced in the AM the next day. Large desk with great lighting.

Very comfortable bed/bedding. Great towels too. Flatscreen TV.

Free wireless internet, excellent workout room, large indoor pool and spa, free parking.

Breakfast was fresh and well stocked. Tables cleared and wiped down as soon as a guest left. 24 hour coffee/tea bar in addition to in room. To Go bags if you couldn't stay for breakfast. Nice business center too.

Only drawback is that it is at the far end of town and you cannot walk to anything, but give it a few years and the town might grow to towards the hotel!

North end

It's on the left side of the highway just as you approach town from the north, coming out of the hills.

I agree with the OP, it's one of the best HI's I have ever stayed at.

+2

Stayed there a couple of years ago and was mightily impressed with both the property and the staff.

Thanks for the report. I'm booked there in late July.

Is there also wired internet available? I've had difficulty using wireless internet for work purposes (something about signal quality and accessing our system).

Can you elaborate a little on the workout room? Most Hampton Inn's I've been at consider a treadmill and an exercise bike in a standard-size room a workout room. Are there weights, dumbells? I try to keep an exercise routine when I travel, and have paid to go to a nearby gym for a day (many Homewoods give free access).

Can't be too specific but it is a good sized room, there is at least one treadmill, one elliptical trainer, a multi-function weight machine, but I don't remember free weights or the other pieces of equipment. What I do remember is that they are all almost new and in great condition.

The staff is super friendly. I am sure if you call them they will give you the full rundown.

I agree about the great staff. They were exceptionally helpful last year when I asked for driving directions around town and recommendations for local sites.

We’re here and will report as the stay goes on.

Arriving, we were greeted by dedicated covered Diamond parking! ^ Staff are friendly here and eager to help. The property is on the north edge of town, but that means 2-3 miles to the sights of Carson City, such as they are.

Three floors, see below. We chose x01 to have afternoon shade (this weekend will be hot), and though it’s not far from the 395 highway / I 580 it’s fairly well insulated - but if you’re bothered by traffic noise, be aware. Still, x25-x35 are probably the best situation for morning sun and distance from the highway.

On our arrival, they had experienced a power surge, so nothing electronic was working. After 10 minutes or so part of the system came back so they could check us in. The engineer escorted us to our room and let us in with his master key. He dropped by with key cards later. (An e-key on my smartphone would have worked if I’d downloaded it prior to arrival.)

Though the room is clean and was renovated in 2018, housekeeping did a poor job in the toilet cabin part of the bathroom, leaving debris and an extinguished match on the floor.

The fitness room and pool are illustrated below. Complimentary breakfast is typical Hampton - Unidentified Frying Object eggs in various guises, pastries and breads, yogurts, juices and smoothies, coffee, cereals, sausage slices, two flavors of small waffles, a fruit selection.
