Would love to hear more about this. $120 per person? The original post made it seem like you and your wife were cooking. So is it $60++ per person? Your son ate too, was that an additional surcharge?

Cooking

Actually, neither my son, wife, or I cooked. We observed and learned from their cooking and then we at all the food plus some extra sides....

Did they offer a hands on approach so you could cook alongside them/him?

Anything we should bear in mind? Any recommendation? (feel free to PM)

I saw some old post saying there is free service but not sure if the service will still exist.
Thanks a lot!
There is a free photography service but they only take 5 photos. You can have the photographer hang around and take more of course but you'll have to pay.

We just did these last week. They will take photos for free for 30 minutes (they say a minimum of 100 shots). They will email you 5 pics for free and every picture additional would be $20. If you want to buy the entire lot of pictures, they wanted either $150 or $170 (can’t recall which).

We did this right at the end of our stay but haven’t received the pictures as of yet, so I’ll have to track them down. Might have been smarter to do this a bit earlier in the stay to make it easier to follow up if I didn’t get them.

Thanks for the info. Will add it to the wiki.

No, we stood on the other side of the cooking surface and watched them from up close.

Hmm. Not so good value then IMO. At least if you were an amateur like me and wanted to actually cook something yourself.

Does anyone know if all the renovated DBVs will have the same pool shape/size? Looking at the current map it seems some villas may have less sq ft, and it looks like some pools (before reno) are circular vs square vs rectangle? I'm not too picky on DBV villa # but would prefer a larger pool.

The pool sizes remain the same as before, they have just been "re-tiled".

Oh interesting. I guess I should just try and request one with the rectangular pool.
