Hi, as a diamond member, if I stay for 5 nights (on points) and spend about $5K with the new aspire card, approximately how many points will be earned (base/bonus/etc)? does anyone have experiece in a similar scenario?

I've read that the Points & Points 50% bonus is going to disappear shortly and the bonuses for Elite statuses will change also. Based on the current situation, if all of your 5K is eligible spend (see wiki) you'll earn 5000 * 0.81169 as base points (that's your spend excluding taxes). That works out as $4058.45 which equals 40,584 base points. Multiply that by 2 for Points & Points and Diamond 50% bonus and you have 81,168. The Aspire card will get you 14 * 4058.45 which amounts to 56,812. So you'll have 137,980 all up. If you add the MyWay bonus and the current promo which I believe expires at the end of next month, you'll have another 3K, making roughly 140K.

I'm not sure this is accurate. I recently completed a stay as a diamond, had $2,000 of eligible spend (no aspire card) and ended up with roughly 120,000 HH points after all the bonuses. It's possible Hilton simply made a mistake, impossible for me to say as they never post the receipts on my account. Nevertheless, I would expect someone who spends $5,000 to get much more than I did. Also, don't forget the 100k bonus on the Aspire card.

And the bonus on the card will not necessarily be tied to the spend at Rangali. He could easily get that before the stay or reach the required spend halfway through the stay or any combination of the above.

Could you post a screen shot of how the points were calculated for your stay? I usually check my points allocation through the hilton app which details out the breakdown of total points. I'm headed there in a few weeks for 10 days, so don't want to be missing bonus/sign up that I may not be aware off. TIA!
Received the following:
52,000 Base Points
26,000 Points & Points Bonus
26,000 Diamond Bonus
2,000 Q1 Promo
1,000 Myway Bonus
Total: 107,000 HH Points

Is HH miscalculating all the base points or do all DIAs get 20 base points per $ spent from now on? Couldn't find information anywhere yet.

Then again, $2K of eligible spend before taxes is only a little over $1600..... Maybe he forgot about his 2nd villa, LOL.

Thanks! My guess would be a miscalculation on HHonors part but I could be wrong and if I were you, I wouldn't worry about it. Thanks for the info!

Question about award rooms with 5th night free...
I am looking at doing a 5 night award booking and going back and forth on beach villa vs OWV...I spend alot of time in the water snorkelling, but like the quietness of the OWV island....
Does anyone know if you can call and book 3 nights in a beach villa and 2 in an OWV and get the 5th night free? or do you have to stay all 5nts in the same room type?

I'd booked a 5n beach villa stay (standard award redemption) and emailed to ask about upgrade rates. They'd initially quoted upgrade prices for water villas as well, but I pointed out that water villas are now available on standard redemption as well and they agreed to my proposed 3n (standard) water villa and 2n beach villa arrangement with no additional charge.
Might be easier to leverage and request a partial 'downgrade' if you'd booked 5n water villa instead. No actual experience to share here.

For those wondering, the state of emergency has been lifted. Things are back to normal in the capital.
