15,000 points + points
15,000 diamond

Already you're at 90K. At some point it's best to switch to points + miles if you know you're going to go over a bit sounds like?
The cap is on base points, $10,000 in spending which is the 100k cap. Then, you also earn points and points earning style, status bonus if applicable, and any promotions as applicable in addition to the 100k. I received 320,000 points for my stay in Jan so it does add up quickly.

Ahhhhhhh that makes a lot more sense now - thanks for clarifying!

I don't think we can spend $10K even with 4 people with just 5 days. If we do, please shoot me

That is the norm with any HH award redemption. You get stays and nights.

Not a problem, really. That would only make $406 per person per day before service charge and taxes, which is quite easy to achieve. Have you had a look at their menus and excursion prices?

No, thats not right. The cap is on 100k base points, so for example if you spend $10,000 (eligible points spend), you will get :

100.000 base points
100.000 double points (if that is the promotion)
50.000 Diamond
50.000 points and points
IF you are signed up for the Conrad promotions there are extra weekend bonuses (5000 points) and 2000 points per night, and repeat Conrad stays.
So a 1 week trip can easily earn another 20.000 points
Total : 320.000+

I had a 2 week trip one year, when there was a triple points promotion so earned 400.000+ points :-) Before the devaluation that paid for the folowing year 10 nights :-)

400K is veeeerrrry nice! You could even choose the 2xPoints Room Rate for 500K. Might actually be worth it in that case since that room rate would be subject to the triple points promotion.

So ive reached out and its $370 per way for a couple. Ouch! On the other hand i notice there is an island hopping excursion which stops at other islands for 170 pp. Anyone here been on that tour, reviews on the snorkeling quality?

Talk about extortion! Was the price you got from both resorts the same? And is $370 inclusive of taxes?

I wouldn't say a 10km round trip for almost $400 per person is worth it by any stretch of the imagination. I really don't know why they do that. It just makes them look like they're trying to stick you for all you're worth. Disgusting IMO.

Upgrade prices for the week before Christmas:

Beach Villa to Water Villa - USD400+ taxes per night
Beach Villa to Superior Water Villa - USD500+ taxes per night
Beach Villa to Deluxe Water Villa - USD1,015+ taxes per night

*Taxes are 10% Service Charge and 12% Tourism GST. We would be happy to provide a 30% discount off on the prices mentioned above.

Would those that have stayed before say that Water Villas 315-330 are the most preferable with 330 being on the end and potentially having the best view?
