Here is a rather long thread, that was easy to find using "frankfurt" as the keyword when using the search feature.

I took his question to mean which "Hilton property" in Frankfurt. I hope thats what he meant.

If not there are two additional threads that discuss the "Frankfurt Hilton" if the OP does a search.

rockdoc, sounds like there's only 1 Hilton in FRA so that's probably the one to choose Have a great time as a first-time tourist! Having said that, FRA isn't really that exciting a destination. Are you going elsewhere in Germany or doing day trips?

Cheers.

Mainz is quite close and there are two Hiltons there: Hilton Mainz and Hilton Mainz City. Mainz is about 30-45 mins from FRA.

Yeah, don't stay in Frankfurt. BTW, don't go to Frankfurt. Go to Mainz or Wiesbaden. Wife and I stayed 3 nights in Frankfurt at the Le Meridien (very nice, convenient to HBF) this summer. Highlight of Frankfurt was 1) trip to Mainz & Wiesbaden & 2) doing our laundry.
Notice that there was no particular highlight in Frankfurt. Hmmmmm...

FRA (Frankfurt) getting a pair of Hilton properties

Did a undated search for German Hiltons and up pops "Coming Soon" for a Hilton and a HGI at FRA (Frankfurt airport for the search keywords). Both are located at the Airrail Centre and are expected to be open Nov. 2009

Yes, construction is still going on. I'll let you know as soon as an opening date is announced.

And they are competing with themselves: To my recollection the Frankfurt Sheraton is owned by Hospitality Europe BV and they are owned by Blackstone

This is great news! I often overnight at FRA and stay at the Sheraton there because of the convenience.

Interesting that the same chain would have 2 new properties in the same location (given the difference of a full service Hilton and a HGI). Would have love to have a Hilton near the convention center.

How is the air-rail center like, any commercial establishments there, like restaurants, convenient shops etc...? Thx.

There will be everything within the Airrail Center... railway-station is in the "basement", above shops, restaurants, convention center, and the two Hiltons, connected with Terminal 1 by a skybridge.
