tips for joining Honors?
 

Hello. Tried a search and didn't find anything.

MrKS will be spending 4 nights at the Waldorf-Astoria in NYC next week for work (without me, alas!). We're Starwood people, but can't let a points-earning opportunity pass us by. ;)

Any tips for joining HiltonHonors? I'm already a member but he is not. Any promos or referrals that we should take advantage of? Or should he just add my name to the reservation (if possible) and put the points in my account?

I am not aware of any promotions running right now. If you have status in Starwood, why don't you see if you can get that level in Hilton Honors too. I'd contact the HH desk to see if they'll give it to you. It might help with upgrades.
