Hi,

Has anyone stayed here lately?
I am due a stay in April and wondered if this was a good choice? All i am looking for is somewhere to relax and get some sun as well as a base for a few round of golf.

many thanks

Hi,

It is a good choice ( very historic hotel) but can be pricey in Spring . My mother and I were there in July 17 when the lobby area was being worked on and it was very good.
If you wanted a cheaper hilton the Pointe Hilton Tapatio cliffs is very good ( multiple pools also) with the golf shop on site and a short golf cart ride to the course.

Regards

Thanks TBS, much appreciated for your reply.

I am using points so no cost, as is a bit of a treat too.
Do they acknowledge status at the hotel do you know?

Hi,

It will proably be the standard W-A benefits ( I think they may have improved in 2018 to include breakfast also)

I would not expect lounge access thouugh. ( the lounge is in the Ocatilla building for those rooms only IIRC) and the only way to get lounge access is to pay for the room .)

My mother and I paid $200 per night in July for an Ocatilla room which gave us lounge access and a $50 per night resort credit ( outwith summer the rates will probably be higher)

Regards

I was impressed by the property's Diamond member recognition during my December 2017 stay. I received a slight room upgrade; in-room bottled water; a $30 bar credit; an unlimited-use card for 20% off at dining, spa, and retail outlets (excluding alcohol); and a nice book about the hotel's history.

I'm not sure if those benefits have changed since the recent extension of free continental breakfast to WA properties.

I got a promotional email about a 3 day summer sale, with rates from $129+, with a waived resort fee. Book March 14-16, for June 1-Sept 5 dates.

Is there a promo code associated with the offer? I'm not seeing those rates on the site or anything in the offers section.

Here’s the page the email directs you to:

72 HOUR EARLY BIRD SUMMER SALE - Arizona Biltmore

Looks like a booking code is SUM18.

Thank you, I was looking at this property at the end of August for my BA Phoenix Trip but the resort fee was putting me off. Great that this deal includes it, just booked it now.

Hi all - has anyone stayed at other hilton branded resorts in scottsdale or phx? There are quite a few resorts (DT, Embassy, Hilton, Curio) and wanted to get other's feedback in comparison to this resort.

I have stayed at most of the properties and this is by far the best.

Think that the original question and the last answer don't have enough info.

Depends what your price range is, what your interests are (golf, shopping, hiking). Are you staying mostly at the resort and not going anywhere else etc.

Biltmore has a good reputation but others may fill your bill just as well even if they are not as upscale.

we are passing through. Just here for two nights. I will have to work a lot of the time but will have some hours for the poolside bar, swim and good breakfast. We will drive around to see what Scottsdale is like in the evening. If there is a spa I may sign up for it. We are diamond and doing this on points. Looks like this hotel may be full when we want to go but noticed boulders curio resort and the doubletree resort are available. Have you guys stayed at these local alternatives? They are 50k vs 80k point stays.
