So to assuage ones bruised ego?? its neccessary for us to endure all kinds of threats about moving over to a completing program ( who treats them the same anyway) Strange, very strange indeed. mike |

I mean seriously I stay at Hilton almost 200 nights a year and as of yet I have not felt jilted or ignored by the program and or their customer service.

Anyway, my first double points stay posted. So, lets all remeber what HHonors is, it is a LOYALTY program. If you are loyal to a program and FEEL like you get shafted because people less LOYAL than you get better deals from Hilton, I would probably be unhappy too. Just about every customer retention study done shows the cost differential between keeping and gaining new customers, the later being much mor expensive. So, vote with your pocket book. When Hilton, or DirectTV, DishNetwork, Cingular, Comcast, etc offer KILLER deals to new customers and consitently FORGET their current customers, leave and shop elsewhere... Then, if you want to come back later after they offer you great deals to regain your business. Me, I just call HHonors and ask for the promo. I find that they will generally give in after a call or two, and I'm happy enough. Yes, it would be nice if they just offered it to me to begin with, but I look at it like a game now. |

Suspended after one post is amazing. |
I've also just received an e-mail for Triple Points until 31 July 2006. Got a similar offer last time up to end of February 2006. Previously had to contact HHonors and ask for promos, which thay always gave. ^

Having never tried asking for a promo thought I'd finally give it a go (reading all you guys having success has obviously worked me into a points frenzy :) ). I got the following reply which looks to me like a standard response:
Mr. UVfly, I apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. We are unable to extend either offer as they were targeted for select participants. However, we will be happy to extend a special offer of 2,500 bonus points for your first/next stay within the next 60 days. Thank you so much and we look forward to hearing from you in the near future. If there is anything further that I can help you with regarding your HHonors account, please let me know. Best regards, Hilton HHonors Worldwide Is it better to try emailing my request to a different address perhaps (this one was to [email protected]) or should I try a different medium altogether? Thanks! |

Where do you think they should spend their marketing money - to make a 15 night per year customer a 40 night per year customer, or to make a 100 night per year customer a 125 night per year customer? Does a 100 night per year customer even have 25 more hotel nights in him? |

Thanks! I just politely ask that as a loyal diamond member for several years, would it be possible to be registered for one of current promotions. Within a few days, I've always had positive results, sometimes even letting me make the choice of which promotion I would like. The thread mentioned above also seems to confirm that they will give you a promotion if you use that e-mail address. Good Luck! |
Thanks for the input guys, I've given it a go - just wait and see now!
